Case Against Bloomfield Four Dismissed Morses Second Trial Ends in a Hung Jury LELDF Supports Program for Collegiates Florida Narcotics Chief Convicted Stephanie Mohr Seeks New Trial |
|
Adam awaits the return of his mother, Stephanie Mohr, from prison. |
As reported in our last three newsletters, Stephanie Mohr, formerly of the Prince Georges County (Maryland) Police Department K-9 Unit, was convicted for depriving an illegal alien of his civil rights when her police dog bit him when he was fleeing from police. Her appeal was unsuccessful and she is now serving 10 years in a federal prison camp. LELDF has filed a motion for a mistrial based on the crucial legal point that federal law prohibits police officers from serving on juries. This law prevented Stephanie Mohr from being judged by a jury of her peers. A hearing is being held in August to consider this request. Watch our website for breaking developments in this case. |
