In a radio address during his presidency, Ronald Reagan described William Bradford Reynolds as, "not only a tireless fighter against discrimination, [but] a brilliant and dedicated lawyer. His qualifications and character are impeccable. Indeed everyone knows Brad Reynolds is a man of integrity and strong ideals, that he's firmly committed to the same vision of a just society that I am."

The Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund is fortunate to have Mr. Reynolds as a member of its Board of Directors.

Brad Reynolds held several prominent positions during the Reagan Administration including Counselor to the Attorney General, Assistant Solicitor General, in which he represented the United States in the U.S. Supreme Court, and Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, where he fought against reverse discrimination, quotas and similar policies.

While he was serving in that post, columnist Joseph Sobran wrote: "A genuine rule of law is impersonal and impartial. Rules of conduct - taking turns, refraining from violence, respecting others' rights and property - by their nature protect everyone, strong and weak alike. Without the rule of law the strong and cunning would prevail. This is the view of the civilized man, the American majority, and, as it happens, the view of William Bradford Reynolds."

A graduate of Yale, attorney Brad Reynolds' experience in the civil rights field makes him an asset to the Board of Directors of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund.

Chairman David Martin said that Mr. Reynolds is "the most solid attorney and logical person I have ever known. His expertise will be particularly helpful in deciding which cases the LELDF should support."
